Manual transcription of Irish Sign Language Videos for Bilingual Corpus Development
Manual transcription of Irish Sign Language Videos for Bilingual Corpus Development (linked to CNGL ILT1.9) is a DCU School of Computing-funded internship, 6 weeks in duration (November 2010 - December 2010), with 1 academic partner (Dublin City University).
This internship project consists of assisting in the transcription of a set of Irish Sign Language videos into HamNoSys, a sign language notation language, using eSignEditor software from the University of East Anglia. This transcribed data will be used as seed data for a machine translation system. The intern was tutored in the notation language and transcription tool.
