Please note that UK visas are not valid for travel to Ireland. A separate visa is required for holders of UK visas who wish to travel to the Republic of Ireland, including UK visa holders resident in Northern Ireland.

  1. The following is a list of countries whose passport holders require a visa, according to the Learn4good website. At the time of your visa application you must possess a passport which is valid for 6 months after the date you propose to leave Ireland. The processing time for a visa is reported to be about 7 to 15 working days. Visas cannot be issued on the day of application. All visa applicants must be able to show evidence that they can support themselves for the duration of their stay in Ireland without recourse to public funds or resources. Visas for a single visit to Ireland currently cost £46. Payment is by postal order, bank draft or cash (payment by cheque, credit card or debit card is not possible.)
